SeMitec thermistor assemblies come in all shapes and sizes. From simple plastic encapsulations for air-sensing applications to sophisticated leaf-spring designs, offering precision control of surface temperatures upto 250°C. Fast response sensors utilising exposed bead NTCs or thin wall tubes, help control rapidly changing temperatures in air or fluids upto 200ºC.
Single-insulated and double-insulated TPE encapsulated insertion probes using 1% tolerance NTCs ensure accurate control to +/-0.3K. These probes are waterproof to IP67 and are available with/without terminals to suit your application needs. We also supply brass, copper or stainless steel housings (with/without fixings) to give robust sensors that can be used in numerous environmental conditions.
One of our latest innovations is the NC (Non-Contact) sensor which utilises next generation thermistor technology to sense Infra-Red energy and give non-contact temperature control. The NC sensor's high signal strength means it is relatively simple to incorporate into control circuitry compared with other non-contact temperature-sensing technology.
In IR sensing applications where a very fast response to temperature change is required, we manufacture thermopile sensors which have a thermal response measured in milliseconds (e.g. our 10TP series Tc<15ms).

The Non Contact IR Sensing Temperature Detector reads temperature by remotely detecting infrared heat from an object.
In those applications where a very fast thermal response of say 1second or less is required, we can offer a number of different options.
Using a range of housings and materials, we can offer a wide range of insertion probes to suit various applications.
Where a simple surface temperature sensor is required, our ring terminal range offers a very accurate, quick-fitting and cost-effective solution.
